As Netsmart continued to expand its visual rebrand, it needed a custom icon set for use in presentations, web graphics, and other sales collateral. This 128-piece set was drawn in Illustrator from scratch with the following principles in mind:
- Clean, simplified shapes (implies/supports concepts rather than specific messages)
- Minimal details (provides scalability across all media and use cases)
- Use of white space as dominant color (lighter look when used in groups)
- Crisp corners and angled lines (technology feel that matches corporate gradient style)
- Balanced sharpness with curves (easily understandable, while maintaining proprietary style)
- Occasional use of shading (creates depth for added interest and readability)
- Expanded, but limited color palette (strong brand feel)
The entire set was produced in four variations: full-color, monochromatic, gray, and reversed white.
